Body Sculpture is one of the leaders in the rowing machine business. The BR–3301 offers a large computer, integrated racing game to keep you interested in your exercise, and manual tension control to make rowing more difficult.
And the adjustable footplates will fit your feet perfectly.
I’ve had the pleasure of trying this model during my Body Sculpture BR3301 rowing machine review, and I was blown away by the quality of this machine.
- Resistance levels on this machine, although manual, are exceptional, with the highest tension being very difficult even for advanced users.
- The rower is very sturdy and well put together.
- Includes integrated racing games as well as a foldaway design.
- The setup process was a little difficult because the instructions were not thorough and seemed to miss a few steps along the way.
When I gave this model a try, I did notice that the setup process is little difficult. It seemed to me that the instructions were missing a step or two, but putting this model together isn’t too difficult even without instructions.
I do recommend having somebody help you bring this box into your home as the unit weighs 39 kg.
A max user weight of 100 kg is listed, and I didn’t have the chance to test a user weight that was higher than this. With that said, this is a rower that I really enjoy using because it is so fluid and well-constructed.
First and foremost, you’ll notice that the computer display is large, and features:
- Distance rowed
- Total strokes rowed
- Strokes per minute
- Calories burned
All of these metrics allow you to monitor your workout and ensure that you see results. One of the awesome features of this model is that there are integrated racing games, three in total, that allow you to race against the computer when rowing. I found this to motivate me during my workout, especially at the end when I usually start getting a little bit fatigued.
There is also have a manual setting, so you can vary your workout without playing the racing game.
Virtually silent, this model uses magnetic resistance, so there are no moving parts or friction experienced. The aluminum frame allows for easy rowing, and the six wheels on the seat allow for a smooth catch and release.
The seat is large and features a non slip texture that’s extremely comfortable. When you place your feet on the footrests, you’ll be able to adjust the straps to match your foot’s width and length.
Manual tension is provided through magnetic resistance. There are eight different levels of resistance offered, and even the first resistance level is difficult for a beginner. If you’re really serious about rowing, you’ll find that these resistance levels will help you advance from a beginner to intermediate rower, and possibly beyond.

I was really impressed with the Body Sculpture BR3301. This unit is near silent, offers exceptional resistance, and is very comfortable when rowing. The wheels on the bottom of the seat really add to your rowing experience by allowing you to feel like you’re rolling on water.
For the beginner or intermediate rower, I highly recommend the BR 3301 – you won’t be disappointed.
