Bodymax R50 Rowing Machine Review
The Bodymax R50 is, by no means, a high-end rower. But it’s easy to assemble, affordably priced and offers a wonderful workout. And when you’re done with your session, simply fold up the unit, and move into the corner of the room.
As far as tension goes, the R50 offers 4-way adjustable resistance through an elastic rope. This allows for variable tension control, but we do have to admit that the resistance was much lighter than we had expected. If you’re a more experienced rower or at a higher fitness level, the tension may not be enough to give you a difficult workout.
The 4-way tension settings can be on the front side of the machine. Simply push or pull the handle forward or backward to adjust the tension settings.
The machine can accommodate users up to 100kg, and the foot pedals feature sturdy straps to keep your feet firmly in place as you row. The seat itself is ergonomically designed for added comfort throughout your workout. The ridged surface of the seat allows for additional cushioning, so you’re not constantly adjusting your position on the rower during your workout.
Just below the handlebars is an LCD display that will provide you with helpful workout stats, like time, total count, count, scan and calories burned. The display is simple, but highly useful. It operates with the touch of a single button, so it’s very easy to use. Simply press the button to cycle through the stats and keep track of your performance during each workout.
There are no pulse sensors built into the machine, but if you’re trying to lose weight, the calorie tracker will help you gauge how effective your workout sessions are.
- Easy to use
- A breeze to assemble
- LCD console displays useful workout stats
- Folds up, so you can store the rower away
- Resistance is lacking
There’s a lot to like with the R50. It’s easy to assemble, it’s well-built and it will give beginners an excellent workout. It folds away, too, so it’s a great option for smaller homes and flats. If you’re looking for a starter rower, we highly recommend this model.Click here to get the Bodymax R50 rowing machine now.
