Bodymax Infiniti R70i Review
Bodymax did an excellent job of combining affordability and advanced functionality. Many of the features you’ll find on this machine are the same ones you’ll see on high-end models – but the R70i is half the cost.
Don’t let its lower cost turn you away. This rower is very well-built. In fact, it meets German TUV standards for safety and design, which is quite impressive.
The computer console is, perhaps, the rower’s most impressive feature. It’s large and backlit, so you can easily see your information no matter when or where you’re working out. The resistance levels are controlled through the computer console, and they’re easy to adjust with the touch of a button.
The console also offers 12 built-in programs, which include both weight loss and racing programs. It also tracks: distance, time, resistance level, calories burned, count, stroke, heart rate and watts.
One thing we do have to note is that if you’re planning on tracking your heart rate, you’ll need to purchase the Infiniti Heart Rate Transmitter, which will transmit your heart rate wirelessly to the computer.
When you’re done working out, all you have to do is fold up the rower, and push it into the corner of the room. Built-in transport wheels make it relatively easy to push, so you should have little trouble moving it after each session.
The sturdy foot pedals feature heavy-duty Velcro straps, so your feet stay firmly in place the entire time you’re working out. The ergonomically-designed seat allows for a comfortable workout without giving you a sore bottom.
- Advanced computer provides detailed workout stats
- Built-in programs allow for variety when working out
- Foldable design makes it easy to store away after use
- Durable and built to German TUV standards
- No heart rate monitoring included
The only minor issue we had with this model was that it didn’t offer any built-in method for measuring your heart rate. You need to purchase a separate pulse monitoring system for this feature to work.
Aside from this minor gripe, we had no issues with this model.
The R70i is one of our favorite models in the Infiniti lineup. The computer is large and easy to read. The built-in programs give you a great workout, and the transport wheels make it easy to store this machine away after each session. If you’re looking for a rower that will grow with you throughout all stages of your fitness journey, the R70i is a great choice.
