Bodymax Infiniti R90 Rowing Machine Review
The R90 is a super rower edition that was designed to be the perfect in-home machine. Easy to assemble, the unit is made from durable aluminum, and the maximum weight is 18 stones – so even heavier users can use the machine.
When in use, the machine will need to be plugged in, so you’ll need a space with an electrical socket for the unit to work.
The resistance is controlled through the onboard monitor, so if you don’t plug the unit into the wall, the resistance won’t work properly negating one of the most beneficial aspects of any rowing machine.
Fast to ship, the box is huge, but the unit will take 45 minutes to assemble. We recommend two people help with the assembly to make it move along faster.
The monitoring system is highly advanced, and this is a system that is worth every pence. You’ll find that it offers:
- User profiles
- 12 programs
Resistance is adjusted via the monitor, and it goes from very easy to almost impossible.
The first time you sit down to row, you’ll find that there are user profiles to help keep track of statistics more accurately. The information needed includes:
And when you begin, you’ll find that the 12 programs are more than enough to help you reach peak fitness – they’re very challenging.
The unit was upgraded in August of 2016, and the update changed a lot. This allows for easy resistance adjustments right on the cushioned handlebar. When performing a catch and release, there is more than enough room for taller users, and the seat glides very smoothly.
It’s one of the industry’s best rowing machines, and it’s also very affordable which is another nice perk.
There is heart rate monitoring, but the transmitter is optional.
- Advanced resistance control
- Onboard resistance controls
- Monitoring system creates users
- Comfortable design with adjustable pedals
- Seat can be noisy
The only small complaint that we had was that the seat can be slightly noisy at times. A quick spray lubricant is all that’s needed to remedy the problem in most cases. And this is something that is very faint and intermittent.
You won’t even notice the squeak 9 times out of 10 unless you’re really trying to review the rower.
If you asked me which model I would recommend for a gym quality rower that will last a lifetime, I would recommend the Infiniti R90 rowing machine each and every time.
